About The Role

Job Overview

As the DeFi Community and Growth Lead at Backed, you will play a crucial role in building and nurturing our community while driving adoption within the crypto and DeFi ecosystem. You will be joining an exceptional team in a fast-growing startup set to transform DeFi. You will work closely with the leadership team to develop and implement strategies that strengthen our community and amplify our presence in the space. A key focus of your role will be to drive awareness and adoption of Backed’s tokenized equities, positioning the company as the de facto standard for stock exposure in DeFi.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Develop and execute community engagement strategies to attract and retain DeFi users.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key community members, influencers, DAOs, and DeFi protocols.
  • Manage Backed’s presence across social media platforms, forums, and industry discussions.
  • Foster meaningful discussions and interactions within the Backed community across Telegram, Twitter and other popular platforms.
  • Organize and host community events, AMAs, and online discussions to strengthen engagement and participation.
  • Drive education and adoption of tokenized equities within the DeFi ecosystem.
  • Track and analyze community growth metrics, continuously optimizing engagement strategies.
  • Represent Backed at industry events and conferences to promote our brand and network with key stakeholders.

Qualifications

  • Extensive knowledge and experience of crypto, DeFi, and community dynamics within Web3.
  • Experience in community management, growth, or engagement roles within the crypto space.
  • Proven ability to cultivate active and passionate online communities.
  • Strong understanding of Twitter, Discord, Telegram, and other crypto-native platforms.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with a hands-on, execution-driven approach.
  • A high standard of English, both verbal and written.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to work remotely and be part of a global team.
